Knee Replacement
Feb 06, 2010
Well, the surgery from March was unsuccessful and painful. Would you believe that I taught school on one crutch until this surgery January 20, 2010? Praise God. I went to the Cleveland Clinic and had surgery. My doctor was Dr. Mark Froisom. He is awesome. I know that the fall in the bath tub, and the kick in the leg from a student started my problems but also I was overweight for some years putting undo pressure on the knee and leg. However, I am just three weeks out from my knee surgery. I am in pain but it is rehabilitation painful and brutal in which it means that it will get better. I am so grateful. I am coming up on my three year surgerversary June 20th. I will have a new knee to ride my five speed bike that I purchased last year and could not ride it. I will be able to do line dancing without pain and learn the Obama shuffle. I will be able to take my dog on long walks without pain and without getting short-winded. I will be able to lose my last 15 pounds or perhaps 20 more. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for reaching my current set goal, I just want to do more. I will be completing my master's this June. Graduation here I come again four times. I just want to learn how to live the life that God has given me and live it abundantly. I am also going to unclutter my lower level, garage and redecorate my dining room. I will exercise everyday to keep my weight down and to keep my knee in shape as well as to keep a positive disposition and attitude. Obestity affects our entire being our bones, organs, muscles, spine, mind, spirit and soul.
