I am 38 and I had Lapband on Dec. 6, 2007. My struggle with weight began after having children. I've tried every method of weight loss and was successful many times but, couldn't keep the weight off. I've been every size from size 5 to a tight 16.
I began to sink into depression after struggling to lose weight. It took a huge toll on my life and the life of my family. I knew it was time to make some serious changes.
I began my research and saw a doctor shortly afterwards. It was a super quick period between researching and the surgery. I've asked myself before....did I rush into it? I don't know. Maybe, but I don't have many regrets. I sometimes regret not being able to do it on my own, but life is all about the "bigger picture". We aren't here on earth to live alone. We are here to live together and help each other. My life has changed so much since the surgery. I'm very healthy and very happy! It's time to pay it forward! Best wishes to all!
