It's almost time!!!!!! I can't believe that my surgery is almost here! Tomorrow at this time I'll probably be more nervous than I am right now. I've finished packing my small overnite bag. I'm going to the pool tomorrow for the last time for two weeks!! and my daughter is going to re-touch my roots b/4 I go to work tomorrow. When I come home at 8:50pm, I'll scrub down with the "Hibiclens" Rx body wash that COSTS $10.49 plus tax for 4 ozs!!!! then go to bed, but not to sleep I know. I'm so excited!!!! It's been a long time since I was close to 200 lbs. let alone anything below it. I can't wait to watch the pounds drop off. I've got clothes/coats in the closet that still have the tags on them that by the time I went to wear them, I couldn't zip, close or button them up
. My husband has been supportive from the beginning, but my daughter is very hesitant. Jazmin's Father died in 2006 a couple of days after Xmas, suffering badly for a couple of years with diabetes/amputation, etc and HE did everything the doctors told him to! She and I are very close, as her father and I divorced when she was 18 mos. old. Of all of the research she's done on my surgery, she's zeroed in on the small percentage of death and dire after effects. I've repeatedly told her that my high blood pressure would continue to affect my heart and kidneys, to the extent that I might end up having a heart attack, stroke,diabetes like her Dad or worse. This is the second nursing home I've worked in, and I see the effects of those disabling medical episodes.
