Saw The Doc Today

Jun 18, 2009

I had the feeding tube taken out atlast! It wasn't horrible at all, the worst part was his removing the stitches!
I asked the Dr about the pain I was having and he assured me it was only pain from the stitches in the deep muscles from my open insicion. He said it takes 6 months for them to disapate and a year to fully heal! (The whole reason I wanted laproscopic only) Oh well, they did what had to be done.
I am also proud to say I am down to 218 lbs. That is 20 pounds now. I am taking fiber and getting my bowels moving. I really think that compacted bowels all these years has contributed to my weight gain.
I can fit in a size 16 jean (although it was extremely snug) I prfer my 20's, although they are falling off me now at least they are comfortable on my sore tummy.
Now that doc has assured me that the pain I was having wasn't something serious I am going to continue my daily walks. I used to be an avid walker but have been so sick over the past 5 years that I kinda became a recluse. The neuropathy ain didnt help. Ofcourse I am still dealing with that now and again. One good thing is that I haven't needed to take the medicine like neurontin. I think that adds to weight gain also. My legs bother me sometimes. I am hoping they will stop as I loose more weight.
