One Month To Go!

Tomorrow marks a very important date...1st it is the day that my best friend/sister-in-law is having her surgery, and 2nd it is one month until my surgery takes place.Up until now I have visited Toronto for appointments 5 times. Once for the group information session, to meet with my surgeon, to have a second information session, to meet with the RN, Dietitian, and Psychologist and blood taken, and my last visit was with Dr.Glazer a Medical Internist.
I have two more appointments to go... I need to have a sleep study in T.O. and the next day I meet with Dr.Glazer again for the results and second, a Pre-Op appointment for blood taking and meet with the anesthesiologist, etc. That should be it until the surgery date of August 10th 2012!
I start drinking the opti-fast on July 20th which is three weeks prior to my surgery date. I'm grateful to have a close friend doing the surgery a month before me because she is guiding my through my journey. And as I watch and live through her process, I am able to learn tips and tricks to different pre and post-op challenges. Thanks Violet!
