I registered on Dr. John W Baker's site for revision surgery! I weighed 361 before gastric bypass, I lost down to 160, 11 yrs later I now weigh 250lbs. Praying my insurance will approve it. I have fibromyalgia, arthritis, bladder leak, chronic back pain, hypertension & mental issues. All will be helped with weight loss! 

New Years Day 2013!!

Well I am starting the new year off in the right direction.  In 3 week & during the Christmas Holidays I have lost 11 lbs!! I am so determined to get to a healthier weight this time!! Hope I find the time to start back at Healthworks this week! My clothes are starting to fit looser, some are even too big, Yay!

I have some great news of something exciting & new in my life.  Every since my surgery in November, I have felt better than I have in many yrs!  I even feel up to going back to work. Was advertising to babysit & met a lady that made a huge offer. In exchange for watching her daughter, she is allowing me to use a 750 sp ft room with kitchette to be able to watch my limit of children without a license! What a huge offer & a blessing to me & my family! My health & now employment is answers to prayers! 

I am really missing Clayton while he is away at a Christian Boarding school & ranch. We had our first visit with him & can already see a huge difference in many ways. Was hard during Christmas & yesterday, his 16th birthday, not having him at home. But know he is where he needs to be right now. To miss him for a short while, to prayerfully get his life going in a better direction that where it was going, it will all be worth it. Keep him in your prayers! Also pray for his knee, it is bothering him real bad. Praying I start keeping paying kids asap to buy him another knee brace to see if that helps his knee.

So proud or Cam as he is going to preacher boy class each week. He has been going strong ever since being called to preach at Church camp last summer! He is teaching his Sunday school class & is one of the youngest in there. He teaches for the bus ministry. Last night he was one of the preachers for our New Years watch night service & he did an awesome job, He read the Bible very fluently & had a great message! He attends school at Maranatha Baptist Christian School at our Church & is ahead in his paces with great grades!

David is working part time right now as a service man at a Power Washer company.  He is currently trying to find the best location downtown El Dorado to open up a Small Engine Repair Shop to see if it will do better than having it at our home in Norphlet.  

Well it has been 5 days since I began weight loss with my Dr.'s help. I have been to 2 parties where Lots of food was availiable & kept my plate light, but I was satisfied & had a great time with my friends.  I have lost down to 236, which is 7lbs in 5 days, I think that is a great start! Hoping I can do good this next week at all our Christmas gatherings & my cooking of lots of food & goodies. I am following the rules of my gastric bypass Dr too & hope that allows for lots of weight loss in a short amount of time like I did after surgery. I am having a vow renewal ceremony in July to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary & want to look great in my 50's style dress I have picked out & will have made late spring & want to be to my goal by then. My whole ceremony & reception will be Retro Lost in the 50's & bridesmaids are wearing poodle skirts, guys are wearing cuffed jeans & leather jackets & asking our guest to dress up too.  This is my dream & hope it comes true!

Well Anti-Suicide of South Arkansas is still going good.  We have lots of donations of wrapping supplies & will be getting lots of baked goods donated at the end of the week & sat morning before our fundraiser.  As soon as the fund raiser is over I will be meeting with a few people to figure all this out.  We will have to apply to the IRS for Non profit License, open an account & PO Box, etc. Hopefully get some bracelets & Tshirts ordered to sell to put $ back in. I've heard that it cost $450 for non profit license, but then was told last night it cost $4000. Will be researching.  A friend from school is wanting to help & be on the board, she knows how to make web pages, broshures, etc.  We will be having a meeting with all the adults & any teens that want to be advocates on the board. We will have to have President, Vice, Secretary, Treasurer, etc.  It all has to be official & done by the book.  My ultimate dream is always have the facebook page & website availiable to anyone needing someone to listen & know that people do care & that we can do what we can to convience those that are hurting, to get into counciling. I want us to have brochures to hand out at festivals, etc.  Also the ultimate goal is to be able to do a scholarship or something big like that to help our community. This is all new to me & a learning process!  I haven't been this excited about something in a long time!  It has given me a sense of pride & something to bring good out of my past.  I was 13 when i tried to cut my wrist at school & was put in 3west for 3 nights & was put on medication.  I have been on meds off & on since then.  When I was 22 I took pills & had stomach pumped.  I was then put on manditory therapy & they ended up adding bipolar to my diagnoises of depression & anxiety.  I also have agoraphobia when it come to going places & making phone calls or having any form of confrontation with people.  I have been on meds non-stop since I was 22 & have been doing great.  I still have issues with anxiety & agoraphobia, but I do my best & work thru it to do what I can each day.  Hope we have a great turn out for our 1st fundraiser saturday, many have worked hard to make this happen.

Dec. 6th was the 10 year anniversary of my gastric bypass surgery.  My top weight was 361. I lost down to 161, but had health issues & regained back to 290 in June of 2011. 12-12-12 I was down to 243 & began Dr. assisted weight loss.  I am feeling very confident that I am going to do good. My goal is to get back down to 160.  I am doing very good so far.

This past week my parent's neighbor boy 14 yrs old commited suicide. I began a facebook group called Anti-Suicide of South Arkansas, in just a few days there are over 100 members.  We are already scheduling our first fund raiser.  I met the boys family & they were very thankful for the group & showed an outpouring of love towards me & made me feel so good.  I now have something in my life that gives me meaning & a purpose. I am eager to see where the goes & hope we save many hurting people.
