I was always obese even as toddler.  I hated school, the kids were so mean.  I stared dealing with depression as young teenage.  I was lucky to graduate a year early to get away from all the meanness.  I was lucky to meet my high school sweetheart, he really loved me and didn't care about my weight.  We were married when I was 18.  Because of my weight I had poly cystic ovarian disease and we had to use fertility drugs to have our first son,  Clayton in 1996.  I was told that I would never be able to conceive another child, even with fertility treatments.  In 1999 I had our 2nd  son, Cam.

I had hernia surgery April 2001.  I was at that time told by my doctor that I needed gastric bypass surgery.  I had many health problems that were worsening: hernia, frequent heart burn, breathing problems, sleep apnea, joint pain, leg and foot pain, back pain, limited mobility, etc.  I had planned to go through Arkansas Rehabilitation Services to have my hernia repair and  gastric bypass.  My hernia got serious and I was missing work.  I had it repaired and began the one year of dieting under a doctor's care.

My health caused my employer to give me a letter letting me go until my heatlh improved.

December 2001
I turned in the letter to rehab and they began my application for gastric bypass.  I also applied for SSI.
