Howdy from Mesquite, Texas. I am a 35 year old mother of 1 teenage daughter and light of my life Michaela. I was never heavy until after I gave birth. My weight gain was horrible after child birth. My highest weight was over 400 pounds. I was 385 pre-op. I had a BMI over 61. I was MISERABLE. I'd been wanting to have this surgery for over 5 years, but never had the means until now. My insurance at work covered this procedure. God allowed me to be able to have the surgery. I am now post op..had my surgery 1/27/2010. I am feeling better about myself EVERYday. I'm looking forward to getting back to life and spending more time with my daughter, who is a Sophomore in High School this year.
I joined this group to find others who are in my area or abroad who are going through this journey. I would love to share this experience with as many people as possible.
I am beyond my goal weight and now a size 8!!
