My lowest adult weight (from what I can remember) was 150 which was in High School. By the time I started College I was up to 180. I spoke to my Dr. And he informed me that it was nothing. He even referenced the "freshmen 15" but my weight gain was way more than 15.
At 229lbs, I find myself wishing I was that 180lbs now! Back then I thought I was huge but I wish to wake up that weight again!
I've done Weight watchers, Curves & Atkins. I've also tried over the counter pills! Those pills inclues, Hydroxycut, Trim spa, and OxyElite Pro. Recently I've been trying to new craze... Sensa which is a light powder like substance that should be dusted on top of your food which is suppose to curb your appetite. Every fad diet I've tried did work but as much weight as I lost I gained back times 2!

My journey began in March of 2010.
I went to an information seminar and was told and given a booklet of all the requires I needed to have to "see the surgeon".
So from March to Now I've been seeing my pcp once a month so I can have 6 months of supervised weight loss.
My PCP was very supportive and with every visit he told me how well I would do and that he was confident that I would look great.

Fast forward...

August- September 2010

I made an appointment with the ABC weightloss centers Nutritionist and Psychiatrist (both of which I needed recommendations from)
Besides paying the out of pocket fee, it went perfect. I was ok'd by both and the only thing remaining was my last visit with my PCP.
During September's visit he was lovely enough to give me my medical clearance and wished me luck!
So if you have GHI like me, you know that I'm about 3/4th's of the way there!
I've had all my blood test and sonograms done. I even got a clearance from a Cardiologist!
So all that's left is my last visit with my PCP.

How do I feel now? Nervous! And I still haven't seen the surgeon but I was told after my last visit with my pcp I will meet with the surgeon and hopefully get a date set! Excited and Nervous.

I'm here so I can speak with people who has gone through this and who can tell me their experiences along with the advice!

P.s. don't mind the spelling and grammar. This whole thing was written from my phone!
