A Year gone and a whole lot of issues, but I'm a lil closer now

Since I last was on here, I was so happy to be seeing my surgeon but since I had accomplished my 6 month of weight maintenence, and my PCP said my EKG was abnormal which then had me to be going to a lot of tests a stress test was 1st, then I had to be referred to a Cardiologist which sent me for a PET Scan, then a that was a 3 month ordeal and I finally got cleared with him. Then my PCP's office wasn't faxing over my monthly weight maintenence papers, so they had to go thru my charts and fill then out from Sept 2010-June2011 I made sure I went to the doctor every month so thank god for that. My PCP then wanted me to see a Pulmonary Doc at the last minute he was supposed to clear me and didn't send the paperwork. My Pysch Eval was finished back in Apr her office just send over the paperwork??????? OMG I was starting to think something doesn't want me to have this surgery. Finally I went to the surgeons office and they assured me they had everything except the dietician clearence so I saw their dietician so I could get the clearence the same day. I went home and awaited on a call so I could get a appointment for my PRE-OP consult with the Dr.Sharma. They called the next day with some more bad news... The authorization is no longer valid they no longer accept my medicaid hmo so I would need to switch to Sunshine state Medicaid HMO which my open enrollment ended in May 20,2011. I just burst in tears  , I was furious, I decided to call  medicaid in tallahassee and spoke with a supervisor who was so helpful she got me changed over on a grievence to sunshine state effective July 1,2011  so now I have to wait until then get my PCP to get another referral and I'll finally get the appt to schedule the surgery.....and pick the surgery I'm getting. My husband wants my to have the lapband I want that one to because I wouldn't be in the hospital long less down time. I'm astudent and i can't afford to miss weeks out of school.
