Today is 6/10/10 and I got my authorization
from my insurance company to see a Bariatric Surgeon who wouldn't normally see me because of my insurance. I have medicaid and in Jacksonville we are a medicaid reform city meaning you have to pick a hmo to be in. I have United Health CareM*Plus plan and at Shands Jacksonville they don't usually accept my HMO but they accepted the Letter of Agreement from my insurance(UHC Medicaid) to be paid in network for my consult, and treatment....
Yayyyyyyy !!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally we got this done after months and months of the wrong info being passed on someones desk. My 1st appt with Dr.Sharma (Shands Bariatric Surgery Clinc in Jacksonville,Fl) is august 4th 2010.
