My 600 Pound Life is Making Me Crazy Lately!

Every time I watch it now, I spend a lot of time talking to, and/or screaming at the TV. The excuses, the whining, the crying, and the excuses are just too, too much.

I know that these are people who are super morbidly obese, and that they got that way by using these behaviors, but really? It makes me wonder what their reactions are when they see themselves on the show.

I am sure a lot of the drama is encouraged in order to make the show interesting. It would be pretty boring if they just acted sensible and compliant.

good point... they probably focus on the whining...and acting up more than good behavior.

I know I had my "poor me, i will not take it anymore" moments in my journey.

Concurring with White Dove here - the people on the show are chosen to maximize drama because drama = viewers. I felt the first season was the best and had the most successful and least dramatic people.

I have never gotten so mad watching this show. He did not want to help himself and his woman was an enabler. He was a spoiled brat that did not want to take any responsibility for his actions

The part that pissed me off the most was when she gave him the burger then he says take the paper off. U can't be serious.

He did every thing wrong and he was upset when he gained 100 lbs and even then he kept telling his girlfriend the doctor was gonna yell at her and be mad at her smh

When He asked her to take the paper off his burger that pissed me off too. I love watching this show, but last nights was almost hard to watch mostly because of his constant whining. I felt bad for his daughter that they had to pull out of school to help take care of him. Hope they do an update and some point and we get to see if he ever stuck to the diet and got the surgery.

I was very upset about them pulling her out of school as well, this was a very hard one to watch.

Pulled her out of school to help take care of him? I've never seen that show before, and I never want to. If I ever got like that to where I ruin everyone's lives around me, I would prefer someone just put me out of my misery lol.

I missed the part about the paper. Either that or I haven't seen that episode yet.

Last night's was the most frustrating for me. He took no responsibility, and would even tell Dr. Now that he had done everything he was supposed to do to lose the weight that he needed to. Nothing change: absolutely nothing. His girlfriend was fed up, worn out and still enabling him to gain 100 pounds, even after Dr. Now put him on a diet. She was trying to blame the man who couldn't even get out of bed.

Why don't they make their patients get mental health help before even considering them for surgery?
