Food Dreams?

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I dreamed about eating tons and tons of wavy Lays potato chips. I can remember how crunchy and salty delicious they were...and even though in my dream, just for a moment I wondered how I could eat so many considering I was sleeved...I just kept on eating them! Yikes!

LOL! I have food dreams all the time! My surgery was 12/31, so I'm 3 weeks post-op today. I'm still in the full liquids phase, so I can totally relate to missing the crunchy, savory, and deliciousness of real food! I'm down 20 lbs as of today, so I guess these protein shakes and chicken broth are working their magic. I'll take it :)

We have Quest protein chips, they're ok enough...but they're NOT wavy Lays.  Yes, the liquid phase wasn't great - but I accepted that weight loss too.  Congratulations on your 20 pounds!

I dreamt about food a lot for the first three months.  I would dream I was eating cake, or donuts or something sweet and then wake up feeling incredibly guilty.

Oh no!  No need to feel guilty about your dreams.  I didn't feel guilty, I thought it was funny.  I've had MUCH better dreams, if you know what I mean.  :)  Never expected food dreams though.

I didn't feel guilty after I realized that it was a dream, but it was so real to start with that I really thought I'd eaten all that stuff!

I know what you mean about that "real" feeling.  I could taste the saltiness of those chips on my tongue!

I had lots of food dreams, especially during the first few months.  And I would wake up in a panic thinking I'd really eaten that food - lol!

I don't think I really have food dreams now or I just don't panic over them anymore ;-)

lol it is funny that you posted this.  I dreamt the other night that I was eating a Grey's Papaya Hot Dog.  The ketchup tasted so good.  Yes, ketchup.  Good thing I live like 6 hours from NYC.

Yea well, I just couldn't resist.  I knew some folks would be able to relate. My husband had a good laugh.  Only 6 hours away?  We've seen shows on the Food Network -- some folks will travel a long, long way to have the food they love.
