3 months post op progress

I just hit my 3 month post surgery mark yesterday.  I am down 64 pounds with atleast  130 to 140 to go.  Over all everything is going well.  I had my blood work done 3 weeks ago..all levels are good except my HCL that needs to be higher and the surgeon said that will go up as I lose and increase my activity levels, but is not concerned.  I have not had a dumping issue..I watch the sugar grams close on anything that goes in my mouth and I try to stay below 12 grams ( my greek yogurt has 12 grams along with 14 grams of protein)  I still do a protein shake in the mornings, I feel it starts my day off on the right track the rest of the day is normal food.  I am not able to eat eggs right now.  They make me nauseated.  I will try again in a few months.  I have had the foamies a few times...eating too fast.  I am getting use to drinking tons of water.  My nutritionist said I could have a glass of iced tea once in awhile or a cup of coffee, just don't bathe the pou*****affeine all day :)  I hope to keep losing around 15 pounds a month over the next 9 months.  Major NSV..my knee is hurting less. It is bone on bone and was in severe pain prior to my RNY and just losing the first 25 pounds I could feel the difference. Now at 64 I can really tell.  I am able to go up and down stairs like a normal person again and when I get to the top I'm not winded anymore.  AMAZING.  I can fit comfortable in the chairs in DR. offices with arms (not the wide seat ones either)  Just the little things make each day better and keep me focused on making the better choices.  So far no complications - lets keep it that way.  I have noticed I am losing some hair now.  I am going to try and up my protein some to make sure I am getting more than enough.    Good luck to other RNYers and any future ones.  This was a great choice for me!!

Congrats but don't be too disappointed if you don't maintain a 15 lbs loss/month for the next 9 months. It will slow down some!
