I was so close and now I am up 3lbs!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn it!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I am better now. But geez is it too much to ask for to get to onederland before my 6 monthaversary??? (August 8)
I am obviously and painfully not going to be at goal by my birthday (August 14) but I can live with this part

I hate the fact that I let this $20, metal piece of **** dictate my mood for the rest of the day and sometimes the week!

If its making you that miserable, I wouldn't weigh myself. Have someone hide it for you. You know you'll get there, so why let it rule your life? Stay off the scale for a bit. Before you know it you reach onederland!

I just texted my fiance and told him to hide it since he gets out of work before I do LOL

It really is making me psycho

I can't remember how long my doctor said that the weight loss will continue. I feel like I am racing against the clock sometimes

I'm a scale-o-holic too and gave myself a challenge to not weigh myself for one month. It's been harder than I thought and I'm probably going to do what you did and ask my husband to hide it!

Don't worry, you'll get there as long as you keep at what you're doing. And also, there's no time limit on your weight loss. Eight years later I can still lose weight when I really pay attention to the basics.

I am just starting this process, and I cant wait to celebrate losing 75 pounds within 6 months.  I agree with the other post, hid the scale, keep doing your "thing" and it will come off!   Your pictures show really a big difference in your before and after already!   Beautiful!!

Yep hide that darn scale! I only weigh weekly and try to not let the scale numbers bother, but I have to admit the week my scale didn't move I was irritated. So my hubby has declared that if I get obsessed with the scale or let those darn numbers irritate me he will hide that scale for a while. You will get there, I would love to be as close to onderland as you are!!! But alas I am still a ways from it, but in time I will get there too!! Good luck and look forward to seeing your onderland sucess post in a very short time!!!

It will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. It requires sacrifice. There will be temptation. But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it's WORTH IT! (Author Unknown). I feel this sums up my ongoing journey to a healthier me!

I totally get where you are coming from! I'm six months out as of yesterday and was hoping to make it to Onderland by my 6 month post opp anniversary. No luck. I'm 214 and have been stuck there, going up and down 0.6 pounds, since about July 15. I'm not eating more and I'e increased my cardio time every day by five minutes so I'm burning about 100 more calories when I work out. Has that brought me there? No and it ****** me off. But I am trying not to think about it and am staying off the scale for at least a week. I want to smash the thing right now!

Hang in there, you will get there soon!

So stop doing it. Just stop letting the scale dominate your mood. If you can't do that while weighing, stop weighing.

("But I can't do that!!!")

Yes you can. If you want to.

Remember: if you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got. If you weigh every day, you'll get the same highs and lows you've always gotten from doing so. If you're willing to take the good with the bad, great. If not, toss that sum***** out the window! (but don't hit anybody. i hear they can sue for that...)

"toss that sum***** out the window" is quite possibly the best thing I have ever read on a forum.

Personally, it's self defeating to stand on a scale frequently.

Look where you are now verses where you were six months ago. Are you able to move more easily? Are you able to stuff plastic bags full of fat clothes to donate to a thrift store? Are you adjusting the seat in the car a little closer to the steering wheel? Can you do things now you couldn't even dream of doing six months, let alone, a year ago??

Find something else to celebrate. Get off the scale.
