Good Morning OFF-

Not much to report from Maine this morning.  Wierd sleep last night, dreamed I was in a giant RV caravan making stupid mistakes like not disconnecting hoses.  Must have been something I ate or heat stroke from yesterday.

Handyman extraordinaire came yesterday and fixed the beam on the deck over the lake.  He lamenated 2 x 6's into a 6"x6"x20foot beam.  Single handedly he removed the old rotten beam, hauled the new beam down to the lake and installed the new beam without falling into the lake.  I was amazed and kept offering to help.  He wouldn't let me do anything except help carry the tools back to the truck when he was done.  All for $175.  So it's all repaired and nothing to worry about now on this.  So thankful for this reliable handyman.  He and his wife go to Hawaii each summer on a mission trip helping the poor.  This year they went and worked on two historic churches that are on the National Historic Register.  They also have built houses for the poor.  We view Hawaii as a paradise but it is very poor for many people.

Thoughts going out to Judy.  Hope the surgery went well yesterday and that she's resting today as part of her recovery.

Trish hope you are reaching out for some help.  You're just out of balance and need to be brought back into balance.  My grandmother was bipolar and I have a dear friend who is bipolar.  It's a struggle everyday.  The stress of your mother could have just tipped you the wrong way.  Don't give up and don't hide.  Go get help.

Eileen - I am delighted that you got the paperwork done on the new apartment.  I think once you get moved in you're going to feel so much better and energized.

Vickie- ((((((((((((HUG))))))))))))  It's a rough time but you're a strong woman and will get through this grieving.  Just allow yourself the time to grieve and take time for yourself.

Mary- Hope that they have gotten Jim stabilized and that there is improvement.  Hope you reached out to the chaplain so you can have support.

Connie which fairy arrives today?  I wish I had a fairy.

Humidity level dropped last night thank goodness.  I dipped in the lake again last night to get my body temperature under control.  The water is like ice to someone who teaches water fitness in water that is 96 degrees.  But I felt refreshed after swimming around for a few minutes.

Not much planned for today.  Going to wash the dishes and clean up the kitchen from drying blueberries.  Dump run and post office run will be on the schedule today.  Have to empty out the car before taking it for repair next week.

Thoughts going out to all of you!

Good Morning Cindi & Ladies to follow!

Phew! I have had a busy few days and so hope to get back to my boring routine next week when Jazz returns to school! I love being busy, but I need my computer & book time and I have been too tired for either.

My middle daughter came up from the beach Monday. I have only seen her once this summer due to her work schedule. She insisted on treating me to an expensive seafood lunch at our local casino and then took me gambling on her dime which is something I seldom do. We had so much fun catching up we didn't realize it was almost dinnertime by the time we left. She also snuck her roulette winnings into my pocketbook knowing that since I stopped working money has been tight. When I discovered the money...no small amount...I called her on it. Her response: what am I working for if I can't treat my mom once in awhile? She is so kind and generous in both heart & spirit.

Of course I overate so I had to do some kind of exercise that night. I have been slipping more and more since I had that pizza several weeks ago. Eating cookies & junk...ugh! Anyhow, after getting everything settled w/Jim & Jazz when I came home & taking care of some household stuff I walked for awhile and then got into the pool...at 10pm! Of course I was so refreshed afterwards I couldn't get to sleep until well after midnight!

Tuesday Jazz's mom came over so we could run Jazz around to get school clothes & supplies. Unlike Jeannie & Trish who seem able to keep up w/their grandkids...and probably b/c I am still FAT...running from store to store w/a teenager wears me out. We got back, made dinner and then I helped Kelly work on our family geneology as she had started researching beyond the info my mom had already collected.Another late night and eating too much so back in the pool and walking after 10pm at night!

Kelly is also having the WLS so she had her EGD yesterday morning. She is deathly afraid of needles and IV's so I went with her for the procedure. Dropped her off home w/Jazz about noon, and met Jim for lunch out...a sub...I am on a roll...no pun intended...lol, and then we went grocery shopping as well as running other errands. We got new phones since we dropped all Verizon services and it took us hours to get them set up! So again I am out late doing my much needed exercise!

Anyhow...hope to get this place cleaned up today. Jim tries, but my standards are a bit higher. I can smell dog which I hate! gotta get on it!

It sounds like SO MUCH is going on here w/my sisters. It broke my heart to read Trish's post yesterday, hear of Vickie's struggle in returning to Nachogodes, and NOT really hearing from May about Jim's status. I could feel Judy's fear about her surgery. I pray for all of us every night.

I am glad for the 'lighter' moments that come to mind like Cindi in her lake cooling off IN MAINE at night. Do you think it is so hot up there she might be skinny dipping? God help her when she gets to Texas if the 80's are overwhelming her! I have to joke! I am so glad Eileen will be closing the 'what's his name' chapter in her life and moving into her new apartment w/her beloved brother & newly appointed body guard! I am glad Connie hasn't seemed so depressed or in as much pain the past few days...

And I guess our Christine is too busy w/her new mansion to stop in and say 'hi!'. Good for her!

Well, I guess I have tormented everyone enough for now. Off to work I go. Everyone have a good day!

Hello Kathy...I understand about taking things from our daughters. I always feel so bad. Carrie and Greg say they can afford it and they want to do it. They keep saying no worries. So I guess we both need to accept what they do graciously and just keep loving them for who they are. That was such a sweet thing your daughter did for you. YOU do deserve it!! I hope you had LOBSTER with lots of butter!!!! I am so glad she came to spend a day with you. You were just saying you hoped to see her soon!

School shopping with teenagers...I remember those days...I get tired just thinking about it!

I wish Kelly all the best on her testing and the probability of WLS!! Good for her!!!

Love to you and hugs too...connie d

You always make me laugh...had a sub...you were on a roll..no pun intended.....LOL!! I love you girl!!!

Hey at least Jim tries to clean...then you just need to touch things up...that isn't too bad...or is it???

Yes,my heart breaks for our sistas struggling with various things. I don't like any of them to go through any kind pain. I just keep sending prayers...it is all I can do.

I think you are right about Cindi....doesn't that lake sound great? I am not sure about the skinny dipping. She might not do it now as there is the man around her area naked and doing his thing. I would be too afraid he might show up!! I am so glad Judy had a good report but sorry she is sick! I am very happy for Eileen and her brother! That place sounds so perfect for them. As for me...I am grateful for a few better days!! Christine certainly has her plate full...new job and a new home..Wow!!

Afternoon OFF family...Well I made it through surgery but I am so nauseous!!! Got sick from the pain meds they gave me in the recovery room. My legs at the groin area from being pulled up and spread for so long really hurt big time!! So they gave me some pain medication 4 times 5 minutes apart...then thought to give me the Zofran for nausea...well it didn't help!! I got sick at the hospital before we left and again on the way home. I was sick again last night and still feeling sick right now. I called the dr and told him and they are calling in a script for the nausea. So far nothing at pharmacy. GRRRRRRRR Guess they don't care how long I feel like puking my guts out!!! I am afraid to eat in fear of throwing up again. Jus****er so far today and even that is making me feel so sick. Anyhow I go back for checkup on September 22. Yippeee. Another trip driving through hell!!!!!!!!

Going to go lay down again feeling sick.

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!!

Hope you feel better soon, Judy. So many times I wanted to reply to your posts because they make me laugh, your trials and tribulations at the apt complex. Not funny, but you are one hell of a story teller. Glad you came out of the surgery OK. I had the same issue back a long time ago and hysterectomy was one option that was offered. I was in my thirties then. I took that option, kept the ovaries, because I used to have agonizing painful periods and not having another period would be such a relief.

Hope you are out and about soon, and the nausea stops. Just know that I crack up because of your great storytelling.

Sending love and best wishes, Arlene.

Hello Judy...I am so glad the pain meds are helping. I can imagine the pain you must be in. Please go lay down and rest. You need to take care of yourself so you can take care of the FUNNY Farm tomorrow...UGH!!

I love you!!! Tell Rick to take good care of you!!

I am glad that everything else was okay. Thank God for answered prayers.

VERY intense morning. Took forever at the attorney's and I am exhausted.  Also had to go by and deliver death certificates to the investment guy and state farm. Now I'm at I hop getting s bite to eat.  When I leave here I'm going to buy ant poison and some silk flowers for the grave.  I'll stop by there on my way back out to the lake.  Carrie will be here around 2 I think. Mostly I just want to fall down and sleep. So hard to function and breathe today.  I am trying to be strong but I just really don't give a damn.  I just want to be sad.

Judy I am glad you have your surgery behind you now.

Everyone else, I love you! Thank you for being my sistas!

Hello Vickie...I am so glad that attorney business is all over for now!!

I hope you managed a good lunch and could relax some.

You just "don't give a damn" you have that right!!! I know how hard you are trying to stay strong. Be sad if you want to!!! That is totally exhausting....trying to hold back your feelings. You just let it go!!!

I am glad you are with Carrie or should be by now.

You know I love you and your family. I am always here for all of you! God Bless you Vickie!

Let me know if I can do anything to help.

More love and hugs to you....connie d
