Surgery times in Ottawa

Good evening,

I was wondering if anyone knows of when surgeries are being booked in Ottawa at the moment.

I have a friend who is meeting the surgeon end of March and was asking if people know how far out the surgeries are being booked

Ref sent April 2012 - Orientation May 18, 2012 - Blood Work & NP October 9th, 2012 - H.Pylori December 2012, Tested Positive-Nut & Beh December 6th 2012 - 2nd Nut. February 7th 2013- Pulmonary Function Test Feb 19 2013- Stress test Mar 7,2013-Sleep test March 11,2013- Abd.Us. April 8,2013-Angiogram April 23,2013-Pre-Op Class May 22,2013-Scope May 24,2013-Meet Surgeon May 30,2013-Surgery FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 13.

I just met the surgeon in Ottawa yesterday. He told me anywhere from 6-14 weeks after I met him. Now I am waiting for a call with my surgery date. I am guestimating it will likely be 3 months till surgery. Hope that helps

At my last appointment at Ottawa WMC I was told that you can expect to wait of a couple of months after you meet the surgeon until surgery. Still waiting for my pre-op and meet the surgeon dates - hopefully this month, with any luck. This has been quite a rollercoaster ride so far. Wish your friend lots of luck with getting the surgery date.

I met the surgeon on Jan 9th and still have not got a call with my date... I'm expecting May. I saw another post on here who had met the surgeon Dec 28th and just got a call for late April..... It's closer to 4 months

Yes, i met with Dr.Yelle on Dec 10 and have my surgery booked for April 28th.

Orientation Feb/13- Scope Dec/13- Surgeon Dec/13-PATTS-March/28th-Surgery-April/28th/2014

I met with Dr. Mamazza in Ottawa Jan 9th and my sx date is April 23rd. However I did call a few times to bug because we have a wedding to go to in Yellowknife in May.. I was told that March had a few cancelled sx days and no sx during March break which will bump sx to a later date.
