So today my beautiful and busy 2 year old daughter and I (husband was working) were at a BBQ at my brother's home. Lots of family and friends etc. Not only was I feeling comfortable in my own skin but I was able to keep up with my daughter the entire time and push her in a push car up and down their hilly yard, pull her and my nieces in a wagon and just plain enjoy myself and my life....finally. I am 4 months out and half way to my goal loving RNY. I count my blessings every day and am so thankful for this amazing chance to live my life the way it's meant to be!!!!

These are my favourite kinds of posts! I am so happy for you and your NSV, it gives a pre-surgery gal like me something to look forward to! I did enjoy being out and about for the holiday weekend, but I feared every group of teenages we walked past, praying they weren't going to yell out something at me. No one did (although one group did tell my fella that he dropped his pocket - hehe). It will be so great to go out in the world and not only feel better physically but feel confident I can enjoy myself without scorn from strangers!

First of all, congrats on your NSV!  I love reading everyone's different NSVs...they're so fun and inspiring.

Secondly - I can't believe it, reliena!  I've NEVER had anyone in public say anything to me about my weight (at least, not that I've ever heard).  That's horrible.  I'd have wanted to die if that happened to me.  People can be very ignorant sometimes. I'm so sorry you had to experience that kind of ignorance and mean spiritedness. (is that even a word?)
