Goal after weight loss surgery

Feb 27, 2024

As I embark on my weight loss surgery journey, one of my biggest goals is to attend a New York Mets game. However, at 350 lbs, I have hesitations and fears about whether the stadium seats will be able to hold my weight.

I have been a lifelong fan of the Mets, cheering on the team through victories and defeats. The idea of finally being able to experience the energy and excitement of a live game in person is both thrilling and daunting. While I am filled with excitement at the thought of being able to cheer on my favorite team in person, I am also apprehensive about whether I will be physically able to do so.

One of the biggest concerns I have is the size and strength of the stadium seats. Will they be able to support my weight? Will I be able to comfortably sit and enjoy the game without fear of the seat giving way beneath me?

These concerns are valid and natural, but I refuse to let them hold me back from achieving my goal. My weight loss surgery is a step towards a healthier and happier future, and I am determined to see it through. I am committed to making the necessary changes in my life to not only reach a healthier weight but also to live a more fulfilling and active lifestyle.

Attending a New York Mets game is not just about the game itself, but about the sense of accomplishment and joy that comes with overcoming obstacles and fears. I am ready to face this challenge head-on, knowing that with dedication and perseverance, I can achieve my goal and experience the thrill of being a part of the baseball community.

So, here's to conquering my fears and stepping boldly into the stadium, ready to cheer on the Mets with all my heart. I may have a long way to go on my weight loss journey, but I am determined to make this dream a reality and show myself that anything is possible with hard work and determination. Let's go Mets!

My Journey to Weight Loss Surgery: Starting with Therapy

Feb 26, 2024

For years, I have struggled with my weight and have tried countless diets and exercise regimens to no avail. I have come to the difficult decision to explore weight loss surgery as an option for finally getting control of my health and well-being. But before I can even begin the process, I know that therapy is a crucial step in understanding my relationship with food and making sure I am mentally prepared for such a life-changing decision.

Therapy is a necessary component of the weight loss surgery journey for several reasons. First and foremost, I need to address any underlying emotional issues or unhealthy coping mechanisms that may have contributed to my weight gain. By working with a therapist, I can begin to unpack and untangle the complex web of emotions and behaviors that have led me to this point.

Additionally, therapy will help me to set realistic expectations for weight loss surgery and understand the changes that will come with it. It is important for me to be mentally prepared for the physical and emotional challenges that come with such a drastic lifestyle change. Therapy will provide me with the tools and strategies I need to navigate these changes and support me through the ups and downs of the weight loss journey.

Furthermore, therapy will help me to build a strong support system and learn healthy coping mechanisms to deal with stress, emotions, and setbacks. Weight loss surgery is not a quick fix, but a lifelong commitment to health and wellness. By working with a therapist, I can develop a sustainable plan for maintaining my weight loss and staying mentally and emotionally healthy in the long run.

Embarking on the journey to weight loss surgery is a big step, and therapy is an essential part of that process. By seeking therapy, I am taking the necessary steps to address any emotional issues, set realistic expectations, and build a support system that will help me succeed in my weight loss goals. I am hopeful that therapy will provide me with the tools and guidance I need to make lasting changes and finally take control of my health and well-being.
