Made a "Bariatric Bucket List" to help me along...
Hello Friends. One thing I did for myself was to make a "Bariatric Bucket List" to remind me "Why did I do the Surgery?" after all. It's been very influential on tough days. One is a poster outside my room - the other is a list next to my bathroom mirror. It includes such goals as "fit into an airline seat", "ride a horse"(done!!), fit into my kayak(done!!), create a richer quality of life, be able to shop anywhere.... There are about 20 total and when I plateau, feel bad or am frustrated - I look to the poster to remind me of the bigger picture.
This is a really cool idea :)

While you all are in the start of your process, I URGE you to measure yourselves everywhere! Yes, really! Then put away the measuring tape, and the notebook for 6 months and any time you want to feel energized (esp when the scale is ******g you off) look how your body is still shifting by looking at your old measurements. It's one of those unexplainable, unbelievable things ****il you see it for yourself) that all we old timers have seen.
Indeed. The bigger picture will actually be the smaller picture. LOL
