Just curious how long your surgery was? How long you were under, how long you stayed in the hospital?

My revision took a little over 3 hours due to a blood vessel that took a while to work around. I was only in the hospital overnight!

I think my RNY was about 3 hours.

It was open, they removed most of my gaul bladder, fixed a hernia, then put me in a bed for 3 days that was evil incarnate.

Mine was an hour and a half. My sister=in-law was almost five hours. Same surgeon, no complication. I asked him why hers took so long and he said he did not know.

Wow, that is a HUGE difference! Just goes to show EVERYONE is different! lol, and yet I ask how long everyone's stats were. Touche, life!

I have no idea how long mine took but I was only in the hospital overnight. I was walking within an hour of being back in the room and then as soon as I could drink the gatorade and they saw everything moving through, they let me go home.

ok, good to know. Trying to understand the "get up and move" part!

Moving prevents blood clots and helps get the gas from the surgery out, at least that's how I understood it. Walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip will be your mantra (staying hydrated is very important).
