Topic: RNY reversed after 12.5 years. Now needing a new surgery.

In 2004 I had RNY. 287 pounds starting weight. 2016 I was down to 98 pounds and was told I had to have it reversed or die. Soooo surgery was reversed. Since it was reversed I have ballooned to 266. Ugh ???? The doctor that did my original RNY as well as reversal was going to sleeve me when I was healed if I gained. Well, I gained...and need surgery but he has passed away. So now I'm trying to decide what procedure is best as well as looking at a new doctor. Ugh New insurance kicks in May 1.

Anyone else go through anything like this?

I haven't tried that particular one, though I have tried quite a few over the years - get some good ones and some clinkers. AFAIK, they are a legitimate company making a respectable product, though they may charge a bit of a premium for being a "bariatric" product. I did use their chewable calcium tablets when I was early out, as the regular calcium tablets can be such horse pills, but went with regular calcium citrate pills once those were used up and I could handle the bigger pill.

The diet is the same. Your biggest change should be relief from the reflux. You may also lose about 20 pounds.

I am right with you. I am obsessed and have fear of regain. However skin removal helped a lot where I can actually see a flat tummy and not skin. If this is an option it might put you on the track you need to be on. After my skin removal it catapulted me to goal. Good luck I hope you find solace in your choices.

This is very insightful. Thanks for replying. I myself use Bariatric Advantage Powder and there vitamins. Are you familiar with this brand? If so what are your thoughts?
