Amazing Doctor. He prayed with me before performing surgery! I thank God for placing this Godly, kind, caring wonderful Doctor in my path.

Wonderful surgeon!!! He makes you comfortable, and cares about his patients. His staff is very nice and friendly also. Thanks to all of you guys!!!!

I love this doctor and his staff. They are so sweet and really concerned about their patients and the health of his patients. They are very personable and caring. They quickly learn you face and name, and they go above and beyond to make the approval process, and the surgery as painless as possible. They walked me through the entire process, even at pre-op, Kathy came to check on me every step of the way to ensure that I was not lost during the visit. Bobbie, another one of his staff members even went so far as to book my room at the hospital guest suites, since I was coming from out of town. And, another thing I like was that several of his staff members have actually had the gastric bypass surgery (which he performed). Therefore, they are speaking to you from experience, not from what they have heard about the surgery. So, there is a wealth of knowledge in that office.

When I went to the information seminar it seemed as if Dr. Matthews was understanding and knew what he was talking about. I made an appointment and was very pleased at the way his office staff handled everything. I had my surgery and he just made everything seem as if this was just a regular check up. The dietary people as well as his staff were very informative about everything. I would give him and his stall a 10 because they were great.

So far, I love Dr. Mathews and his entire office staff. He seems to genuinely care about his patients.

Dr. Matthews and his staff are very helpful, in getting everything took care of for there patients. Nancy and Bobbie were very nice and helpful with all my questions. Dr. Matthews is very nice and also helpful in answering any questions. They had my surgery approved within 15 minutes of getting all my paper work. I would like to recomend his office to anyone who is looking for a good surgoen. They will treat you good. I would rate him a 10 overall.

Dr Mathews is just the sweetest. I am so thankful for a Godly man in the medical profession. He relies on God and not himself. Dr. Mathews knows he is only a tool of God and the God is the Great Physician. I am thankful to have had him care for me and perform my surgery. He and His staff are out of this world GREAT!!!

Dr. Mathews and his staff are wonderful people. I met him at the simenar, he was very friendly and understanding. Then on the 23rd I went to his office for my 1st appt.. the staff were excellent I got approved for surgery within 2 days! Dr Mathews and Nancy are blessings to me. I would reccomend them to any and everyone. This man is going to save my life!

Dr. Mathews is an excellent doctor with many accredations. I actually got to know him way in advance of my own surgery because he did my mother's gastric bypass surgery before me. He was very professional and told me all the risks of the surgery and what it would be like for the rest of my life, as far as how much to eat and taking vitamins, etc. I just had my surgery a few days ago...and I'm honestly feeling great! I'm a little sore, but the good part is that the surgery is very non-invasive, which means less recovery time. I can do everything I'm used to doing, except I can't currently use weights or do abdominal \"things\" right now. Dr. Mathews has not had one death from WLS...he has had only a few...as in one or two..leakages. His patients rarely see complications; however, if the patients do not follow strict WLS guidelines...they will get sick and have problems, but that is the patients own fault. Overall...Dr. Mathews was really great! The only thing I do have to negatively say about him is that he never came to visit me in the hospital room after my surgery, which is very uncommon. He is usually known for going to see patients post-op..but he sent other doctors to my bedside instead with me. P.S. He is a perfectionist...he wants everything to be exactly accurate for all of his surgeries.
