I've been overweight my whole life and morbidly obese my entire adult life.  WLS is the only thing which has allowed me to lose a significant amount of weight (150 + lbs) and keep it off.  That said, I have another hundred or so I'd like to lose and am frustrated that it's so hard to do so.  I'm not one of the poster children who had the surgery and quickly got to a goal weight and stayed there.  I'm a tried and true blue compulsive eater with an addictive personality and staying on task to do the right things for my health is an extreme challenge for me.  I keep living my life with the hope that the future will be better and I'll get closer to the ideals I'd like to achieve.  Notice I say ideals, and not goals, because one of my biggest challenges is goal setting.  I tend to more of a pessimist than optimist and find it difficult to face each day with zest and zeal.  I guess all of this said, I'm a big picture optimistic but a small picture pessimist, if that makes any sense LOL.
