Daryl Stewart

"Dr Stewart seemed really nice. He is doing things a little different. The day started @ 8:00 am at The North Texas Hospital(it's new), and a group us(9) filled out a bunch of paperwork, and then Leah(patient co-ordinator spoke about a couple things). Then Dr Conte, a psychologist came in and lectured on Behavioral Modification(change thinking). She seems very nice. Then, Dr Stewart came in explained all the different types of surgery there are out there, and what he does and what he believes in. He does the Gastric Bypass, Open and laporscopic. I chose him due to past patients comments on this website, AND he is an Aetna provider. He is approved to administer the 3 month multi-disciplinary regimen before surgery, which is one requirement Aetna has. Since I had beenlooking for a doctor to do this, he was the only one I found. He believes in aftercare, you must pay $1000.00 for it(includes fight w/insurance if need be). My insurance will pay everything else when I am approved, so I felt the $1000.00 was reasonable. His Patient co-ordinator Leah, is wonderful, and has had the surgery, and lost over 200lbs. When any questions arise, she has welcomed us to call her. At bout 1:00 pm Dr Stewart gave us tiome for lunch, and we had to be at his office at 1:30 pm. I got there a little early, and was the 2nd one there. The next step was to see Chris Dr Stewart's nurse. She went over health history, took blood pressure etc...Then there was a wait, while I waited for Dr Stewart. He came in and went over my history and checked some vitals. He said I could start the 3 month program today! After that Leah came in with homework for the next visit(i.e. bllod work, stress test etc). I left sometime after 4:00pm. It was a long day, but I am on my way. Everyone in Dr Stewart's office is very nice, and I would reccommend him to anyone.. "
