I was born feb 6 1960.Growing up in the 70's was very special.My father was a hard working man and he drove truck most of his life.Mom was always home and took care of of us 7 kids.I don't know how she did it but somehow we all grew up and for the most part we turned into good people.Dad was always big and Mom was a normal weight.Me and my brother Richard where also big boys.Richard had wls when he was 25 years old back in 1987 when it was very new.he never lost any weight he gained more and more and at the age of 27 he lost his battle with his weight and died leaving behind a wife and two daughters ages 4 and 5.Dad died at the age of 45 years old and I never thought i'd outlive him but I did.I had wls on Dec 1 2003.My starting weight was 565 lbs,my highest weight was 598 lbs.Today I weigh about 230 lbs and I am having trouble with my weight I am always up and down.I am now having problems with my heart and i thought losing the weight would keep me from having a heart attack like my father and brother before me.Heart trouble runs in our family and we lost a lot of family members at early ages because of it.The last few weeks I have been going through some test and i'm hoping we can resolve this heart thing before it gets me like so many of my family members before me.I really don't want to die and i'm gonna do whatever it takes to prevent this.Since moving to maryland I have made some very bad choices and i'm slowly changing my ways before it's too late.Before moving here 3 years ago i hadn't had a drink in over ten years and I never smoked pot.I have stopped both of these habits and I pray I can stay away from them.I have had some bad relationships and that raised my stress level to a new high.Mom lives in canada and I miss her a lot.She did the best she could with us kids and we love her very much.So that is my story to date.I will keep you updated and i hope you all are doing good.................steve
