Life is still grand 6 years out. I have maintained my weight loss. I was 375 pounds  on the day of surgery, and I'm now at 218.

Dangit, I just can't get under the 200 mark.

I'm healthy, with no complications from my surgery. In fact, I just saw my Doc, Dr. Iqbal after my routine endoscopy and colonoscopy and he said that I am a perfect example of RNY done right. No hernia, no problems.  (I had my gallbladder out three years ago).

I take my vits everyday, and drink at least 100g of protein a day. A L W A Y S.

But. there's always a but.. I still don't see myself as 218 pounds. I still see that 375 pound fat girl in the mirror.

i see photos of me and I laugh because I can't honestly believe that I am looking at myself.

Such a drastic weight loss is a physical thing. But it is as much as mental change as well, even 6 years out, I still "struggle" with my weight. Not "loosing" it as we did in the fat days past, but now, "seeing" and believing it is real.
