I called Uhc yesterday and spoke to a man about if my plan covers bariatric surgery and he said yes! He basically said that I didn't need a referral to a surgeon from my pcp and that I could go straight through the surgeon. Most of my requirements, although he wouldn't give me a list, is the same as the surgeons. Also, Wexner medical center here in Columbus accepts my insurance as well! I am so beyond happy about this! I will be setting up an appointment today.
