I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.**Hugs**

Good evening Amos Family. I have such great news! Today I weighed myself at work---since November 27th (at my 3-month checkup) I've lost another 22 lbs; And since April 2002 at my highest weight of 336 lb I've lost a total of 91 lb!!! I'm really in shock over this people----really I am. Thanks for letting me share. Sincerely, Lori Ann

Hi Lori,

I saw a note you left for another person, saying you had blockages in your lower intestine and that the surgeon had to go back in to clear out...I had the same thing happen to me! It was 2 days after my surgery, I had just been released from the hospital, and I started throwing up blood. I threw anything I swallowed up, and blood came with it everytime...so I stopped drinking anything, but I continued to throw up blood. I got severely dehydrated, so I went to the ER that night. They ran some tests and I had surgery the next day (3 days after my Gastric Bypass) to clear it out (it was a blood clot). Is that what blocked yours? A month after that surgery, I h ad to go back in because of an abscess. All in all, I had about 6 or 7 complications, only 3 were severe, and the rest were minor. It took me a LOOOOOONG time to recover, and I really regretted my decision to have this, but I'm finally glad I did. Anyway, sorry to make this so long, I just haven't heard of anyone else who had the surgery for the blockages. Take care!

Good MorninG Lori Thanks for your Email about our epilepsy. I read all your notes on your pages and am so sorry you suffered so badly. (has be a little scared) I received a fax this morning from my neuroligist, telling the surgeon that I am "neurologically stable for surgery" and that he would like me to take my meds prior to surgery with a few sips of water, (doubt if they will allow that) and if I am unable to take meds after surgery to give me Ativan 0.5mg IV Q8 hours until able to tolerate oral intake and to call his office for further management. So! that should convince this surgeon & anthse (cant spell that). I was in the hospital last May for preop testing for brain surgery, trying to get me to have seizures, they keep reducing my meds until I was entirely off, 8 days before I had a siezure! but I still get 1-2 month on meds!.. I didnt have the surgery as the risks were higher than the chance of success 60-65%. Hope you are feeling more spunky and losing the lbs. feel free to contact me. I dont know why my page says date scheduled, I dont have one yet. Going to see 2nd surgeon monday 12.2.02. Keep your chin up.. (itis snowing in Chicago today )

hi Lori Ann: I am so glad you are doing fine too. I have been alittle beside myself now at 3 1/2 months post op. I am not loosing but 10 lbs a month now and I am still 372 down 82lbs so far. I am drinking Isopure for added protien but I dont know how much I need to get enough protien every day. I am getting about 80 grams of protien in my meals and 80 oz of water and crystal light now. If you can help me I would appreciate it.please write soon. sheryl Open RnY July 22, 2002 516/453/372/160
