The day I decided to tell someone

I was undecided to tell anyone that I am thinking about wls.. I don't know anyone that has gone through the process.. So the day I decide to tell someone I was so shocked with what she had to say.. Back in the summer of 2014 she ask me if I never thought about wls.. Her friend had the surgery lost her weight.. When I ran into beginning of February I told her about being referred.. She told me not to do it!!!! My mouth dropped to the floor did I hear her right!! She the one that brought it up now doesn't support it!!! She beg me not to go ahead with the process.. Said her friend that had the surgery had complications almost lost her life.. Of course this scared me  but this is the risk we take... So I have decided not to tell anyone else don't need the negative in my life.. I will look for support from others that's on the same journey as me, either they are at the beginning middle years out or even thinking about it!!!
