Another change of plans!

Well, changes seem to be going around lately! My sleep study has been moved to Thursday instead of tomorrow :-o When I first started this journey, I was foolish enough to think that the local center would get its certification quickly. That didn't work out. I finally decided to go to Portland (OHSU) because they already have their certification AND they have a great reputation. Of course, when I called, their next info session fell on a holiday, so it was cancelled, so I had to wait an extra week. Then I had my appointment with my doctor to get my letter and medical records and his transcriptionist got sick, so I had to wait about a week and a half to get all that stuff. Then I finally got the appointment for the sleep study and the preliminaries for surgery. At this point, I've learned to just get used to waiting!! ;-)

Well, things didn't work out with the local bariatric center, so I will be going to OHSU (Oregon Health Sciences University) in Portland, which is about a 2 hour drive for me. I have everything set up there. Appointment with the Nurse Practitioner and Dietician in two weeks. I have my sleep study here in Eugene on Sunday. Once my approval comes back from BCBS, OHSU will make my psych appointment. So, things are moving. I'll be on the east coast for two weeks in April, so undoubtedly will have to wait till I get back for surgery. It will be nice to be shrinking as the weather warms up!
