Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now for a little over a month – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)… RNY 10/31/03 – down 81 pounds!!! Good luck!

Leeanne- I am so happy that your husband updated your progress! Great news-I'm glad to hear you did not have any complications! We both made it through. I came home on Friday and I feel great! I just wanted to say thank you so much for your encouraging words the day before our surgeries, I’m glad I’ve had such a smooth recovery so far and you have too! I am also glad I can go through this journey with cool people like you! Lynda P 2-17-04 (-7 loser)

Hello everyone! This is Leeanne's husband, Loren. Just wanted to drop a note to let all know that Leeanne's surgery was successful with no complications. She has some gas pain which was to be expected, but said it feels worse than labor (ouch!) Tomorrow morning she will have her "leak" test and we do not expect any problems. Special thanks to Dr. Herron and his staff as well as the rest of the nurses and staff at Mercy Hospital for a job well done! Everyone as been really wonderful! Will update again soon...
