Well I got my date which is Oct 1st and I got the approval from my  Ins the same day. I cant wait for the date to come I just want to get started on this new journey. I am also nervous at the same time I keep wondering if I can really do this. I have to keep reminding my self that this is a new me. I will finally be able to get this weight off.

So I went to see Dr Miatto at Falkner Hospital to have her be my new PCP and she was very pleasant and supportive of the surgery. I told her about the surgery and that I had done all the preop test and about my old PCP and that I needed a referral from her to continue on this journey she gave me the referral and I was so happy I could of hugged her. I then called and scheduled the appointment with Dr Munn. My appointment is Sept 2nd and I am hoping that I will know my surgery date on that day as well.

I went to see my PCP and he gave me the referral and I went to info seminar and met with Dr Robinson did all my preop tests and sleep study and lab work. I wanted to have the lap rny and he told me he does that surgery with Dr Munn at the Falkner Hospital and I needed to get a referral for Dr Munn. So I called my PCP and he would not give me the referral for Dr Munn or to have the surgery at the Falkner because he is not affiliated with that hospital. So I said fine I will wait to have that surgery at the Brigham & Womens Hosp. I met with the surgeon again and was told to get another referral because the first referral was for three visits so I called my PCP and he said he wanted me to come in and talk about it. So I came in and he told me since I had quit smoking and had lost ten pounds like the surgeon told me to do that he thinks the surgery is too risky and that I can loose the weight with diet and excercise. I reminded him that I had been yo-yo dieting all my adult life and he said he was against the surgery and he would not give me any more referrals for this surgery. I left the office in tears I have done all that was asked of me and it was thrown in my face because I had lost some weight.  So I called my surgeon and they referred me to another PCP.
