my name is jessica. i have always struggled with my weight, even as a child. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure at the age of 22. I finally realized i HAD to do something to help myself with i went to put on a pair of streatchy jeans and they wouldnt fit! These 24 streachy jeans wouldnt fit. I knew i had let myself go, and I was too young for this. I started my process in 2010, but i didnt have insurance so i was forced to stop until i got insurance. In august 2011 i got a new job with insurance so i restarted the process the next day! I had a few hoops to jump through along the way, including my insurance decding to do a preexisting investion before they would pay for my psych eval... which took about 2 months! but finally i was scheduled to see the surgeon July 10th and was set for surgery on July 23rd 2012! Im not a week post op and feeling great. I cant wait for this journey!
