I thought I would share a little bit of what brought me to this point of my life.

I was overweight my whole life.  By the time I reached middle school I realized that my weight was a huge problem and I started doing diets, which at that time were not very effective because I absolutely hated all vegetables even salads, and also hated just about all fruits.  So just cutting down what I was eating didn't work, I also had the habit of drinking a lot of Pepsi. (usually about 3-5 cans a day, not diet)

By the time I reached high school I was still of course battling my weight, on top of found an addiction to the wonderful soda called Surge (which is no longer available as far as I know).  By my junior year I switched to Mt. Dew because Surge was not available at school anymore.   Not only did I switch to mostly drinking Mt. Dew but I also started eating salads (only because I discovered Ranch Dressing).  But the salads weren't the only thing I would put ranch on, oh no, not by a long shot.  I would cook up a batch of Raman noodles, not use the seasoning packet, but eat it like spaghetti and cover it with butter, a little bit of garlic salt, shredded cheese and a lot of ranch.  The giant bottles of Hidden Valley that you can get in a two pack from Sam's Club, yeah I was going through one of those bottles in about 3-4 days.  That is how bad it got.

I reached a high of 380 in high school, which I fluctuated from 325-380 since I graduated in 2003 until I got pregnant with my son in 2007.

After I turned 18 I tried many diets, going back to Weight Watchers multiple times, each time loosing no more that 50 lbs, then leave because of not being able to get below 320 and then gain most of it back.

In 2007 I was at one of my lower points of 325, I ended up getting pregnant July 2007, and by November of 2007 I was up to over 400. This is one reason that I now tell friends who are pregnant, do not eat like crazy just because you are pregnant, you may be eating for two, but the second person you are eating for doesn't need the amount of food as an adult!  By the time my son was born in March of 2008, I was at an all time high of 455.  I lost around 30 lbs after he was born and before I went back to Weight Watchers.

In 2008 when I returned to weight Watchers, it was for the longest period I ever stuck with it.  I started at 429 lbs and left after three years and losing a total of 50 lbs.

During 2012 I started working at a Daycare where when it came to lunch I either ate what the kids were eating (pastas, corn dogs, pizza) or I would get fast food from one of the many located within 5 minutes from the building.  I went from 380 back up to 440 by the time I was approved for surgery.

I had my surgery August 14, 2012, and consider that my second birthday because it gave me a new life.
