It's been awhile since I posted. Made it thru surgery with flying colors and am over one month post op. Only down 20.5 lbs as of this morning for a grand total of 40.5 including pre op. Thought I was in heaven by the time I reached mushie stage. They say you don't get hungary, but I'm not sure if I agree with that. If it has been over 5 hours, I am still hungary! My summer clothes are very loose on me, at least the pants. My favorite bra is toast. Went to my niece's wedding last weekend and tried to eat what was on the menu but the pulled pork was too dry and the rest except for the lettuce was carb city. I did try one bite of her cake though. Thought since she paid big bucks for it, one taste wouldn't hurt. Not getting in alot of actual excercise but since it is lawn and yard season I do get in alot of activity. Bought myself a new bike but was advised to wait to ride till after my one month post op dr. visit.

I think I have just about everything I need for home except for my cream soups and a binder. Found one online at Walgreen I may have to go get this weekend. Also, someone had the idea to get mouth spray so that my mouth isn't as dry as the desert when I wake up in recovery. Don't want to pack like I'm going on vacation, but I hate needing something and having to go buy it when I forget to bring it!

Jennie called from the surgeons office yesterday at 9:20 with my date. April 21st at 8 a.m. I was hoping for surgery on Tuesday so my daughter wouldn't have to take so much time off from her work, but Thursday will do. I think I have everything situated at home. All of my waters, drinks, protein and vitamins are purchased. At least enough to get me started for a couple of weeks. My surgery is only three days before Easter so I guess I will not be attending dinner at my parents this year. Hope I'm not the topic of conversation at the dinner table. My mom knows, as do my sisters and both my daughters, but that's basicly it. I have told two of my friends who are both supportive, but think it's rather drastic having surgery. I guess they are used to my being overweight and don't understand how important this is. Being pre diabetic is a scarey thing. Besides the fact that I rarely leave the house except to go to work anymore. So glad this is happening this time of year so that I can get my excersize outside in the sunlight. I think I am one of those people who gets depressed without it.
