"I had spent many months’ researching different doctors and attending many different informational seminars about bariatric surgery. Most doctors were very cold and never spent much time with any potential patients. After hearing about Dr. Awad I went ahead and scheduled my appointment to attend his seminar in Palm Springs. He is very knowledgeable in the field that he practices and is more than willing to answer any questions or concerns that you may have about any procedures that he performs. He even stayed after the seminar to meet with people which is was not common with other doctors that I had met with. I booked my consultation appointment right then and there and the doctor and I chatted for a few minutes. I arrived at my 9am appointment the next week and Dr. Awad and I walked in through the front door at the same time. He remembered my name!! I wasn’t just another patient of his but I felt that I was important and that I mattered. He spent 50 minutes with me to explain everything again and we decided together that the Gastric Sleeve was the best option for me. I met with his dietician Amber who is awesome!! She is so nice and very accommodating with my work schedule. His office staff/nurses are just as wonderful. Cathy will put your insurance thru in no time at all, 5 days for my approval!! Maria is also super nice, any questions about my meds or how I was feeling she put me on hold to ask the doctor herself and I never had to wait for a phone call back. So now I am almost three weeks out from surgery and I feel great!! 30 pounds in 16 days… I love my Sleeve!!"
