Hello:
This new website is really THE BOMB!! I turned 50 this year and I feel so good!! My total knee replacement is improving day by day and I can't wait to get back to my water aerobics class.
I am 3 1/2 year post op and can eat almost ANYTHING!! I still have problems with sweets but can eat them in small amounts.
I'm not making any New Year's resolutions but I am cleaning out my refrigerator, freezer and cabinets and replacing bad items with good ones. My husband's LDL cholesterol is not good and we both need to get on a better eating program and also exercise. I'm trying to encourage him to start exercising which will help his cholesterol. He is also a smoker which is not helping.
Anyways, I have had NO problems with my surgery at all!! I'm thankful that I had it. Even though I'm 190, I'm not 279 where I was before surgery. I'm active and feel pretty good although I know getting of 20 more pound would be even better.
I don't think I look healthy at 145 and 170 is really a good weight for me as I don't even look like I weigh 190 lbs.
I will try and post more for the newcomers to the site as I'm sure, like I was, you are anxious and excited about having your surgery.
BEST WISHES TO YOU ALL AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
