Counting Down The Weeks

My name is Yolanda & I have struggled with my weight all my life. I have gone back & forth about surgery for years. Finally 3 years ago I came to grips & decided that I was ready to make the change and regain my life. Unfortunately my insurance company was not on board & would not pay for surgery. Well wouldn't you know it life has a funny way in not always going as planned. Paying for surgery out of pocket was just not within reach for me. I was finally able to switch to my fiance's insurance this past January. I started doing some research & found a surgeon who I was comfortable with. I completed all of my required pysch, medical & nutrition visits a week ago. My coordinator @ my doctors office submitted my info to Empire BCBS the morning of 3/14/13. I could not believe it when she called me back that very afternoon to tell me that they had given me an instant approval over the phone. I was speechless to say the very least. Never had I heard of any insurance company doing this. Needless to say that kind of made a little uneasy. I kept thinking what if they made a mistake & here I am getting all excited for nothing. It was all so unreal. Well yesterday once I got home from work my actual paper approval was in the mail & now I must say that it has officially sunk in. I am finally getting a chance to get my life back. My prayers have been answered & on 4/29/13 I will get my second chance at life. Now I am just counting down the weeks.........
