wow what a ride

Jun 14, 2012

well I  will be 7 months out on June 21st. and I now weigh 262 lbs.  I am now for the FIRST time in my adult life smaller than my oldest sister.  I can fit my ass into a size 18 jeans down from a tight size 32 jeans and some XL and 1 XL tops down from a 4 to 5 XL.
I am not losing lbs as much as I seem to be losing inches.  I was in one hell of a long stall for about 6 to 8 weeks as I try my darnedest not to scale watch LOL. even hid the scale under the middle of my bed but now my ass can easily get down on the floor to retrieve it.  DAMN them scales and stalls... LOL.....  Well I still am feeling great and can do so ,much more than I have been able to in a very very long time.  I have not been in a size 18 since I think I was 18 yrs old.

I cant imagine being at what they call a NORMAL BMI... I just cant  picture myself at  145 to 150 lbs god I have bones sticking out as it is.   I am impressed with the little NSV's like not hitting the steering wheel in my poor old car when I drive to sitting in a fold up chair.

New things

Mar 01, 2012

well today I am 288 lbs down 92 lbs since I started this journey and so flipping happy with the results so far. I must admit I had my doubts even after meeting so many people in person and watching them drop sizes as I waited for my turn on the bench.  This surgery is truly a miracle of a procedure and so thankful for the ability to have been given a chance at a new beginning.  I have not been this low in weight in over 15 years.  I cry at the silly-est things like the shoulder bone and felt it so much I made it sore LOL.

I thought my biggest food issues were stress related but I am currently trudging along even with loss of work, still waiting over a month and half for employment insurance to kick in, car needing repairs and unable to afford them to get the car reinspected and not been able to drive in over a month. Plus both of my kids birthdays are this month one on the 6Th and other on the 17Th,  I have learned to not let the major money issues get to me and frustrate me to stuff my face with junk.

I now have a BMI of 46.4 down from 61.3 drop of 14.9 points at 5 ft 6 in.  I dropped from a tight 30/32 very stretchy jeans to a 22/24 and from 4 XL- 5 XL to a 2 XL -3 XL tops.  I found not only knee caps but shoulder bones too.  and a whole bucket of confidance and pride in myself

3 months post op

Feb 21, 2012

I was reminded that I had not updated my profile and I am sorry,  life has been busy with great things happening..

3 months out as of yesterday. I have had NO issues at all and feel wonderful the little NSV are truly amazing. I am now 293 LBS down from the start weight of 380 LBS.. I have found things on my body I forgot I even had like knee caps and wrist bones.... LOL. I am down from a 30/32 tight jeans to a 22/24 jeans and 5 XL top to 3 XL top even my sneakers and socks are loose now. I can walk 2 miles in 30 min without stopping and not needing a puffer.   I have been off my blood pressure meds since 1 week post op. MY only regret is I was not able to do this sooner. Life is good the lbs are coming off slower than some people but the inches are going fast and I am happy with that. I have never felt better and each day I find new and exciting things to be proud of and encourage me to keep moving forward.

Stall finally broke

Dec 20, 2011

whew my stall finally broke what a relief.  I am now 1 month out and lost a total of 20 lbs post op.  I am a slow looser I guess but a looser just the same but that darn stall didn't help much either LOL.  I am feeling great and now off all blood pressure meds much to my doctors surprise and amazement.  I have so may people who helped me on this journey and that I am so thankful for and unsure how I could ever repay them or thank them for this kindness.  I am truly blessed.  I have never felt such a calm in my hectic life, but right after surgery I felt like a large weight was lifted from me and I can conquer anything.  Strange but beautiful feeling.  God bless and hope everyone have a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays and a Joyous Happy New Year

Home from Mexico and sleeved and feeling AWESOME!!!!

Nov 26, 2011

I had my doubts but good lord I feel fabulous.  I was more nauseated than most for 4 full days but after that no pain no discomfort and getting lots of water and juice and tea and broth in so far so good.  The worst part of my journey was the plane rides long hard and tiresome.  but i survived them and I feel great.  I started at almost 380 this time last year,   post op the day of surgery I was 345 today I am 343.  I am impressed that is for sure.  Today I found dimples and no not on my ass cheeks but on my face.

On to Mexico

Nov 11, 2011

well time is flying fast and i am all set to go to Mexico and get my sleeve.  I get my passport on the 18Th and fly out on the 21st  trying not to get to nervous but its creeping up some.  the pre op diet has been OK it was Atkins induction ( was not so bad as i love meat and not a sugarholic but miss my milk) and then on to the one until i have the operation which is  2 shakes a day and a lean cuisine or weight watcher dinner for supper with 2 cups of leafy green veggies so not as bad i expected......

enjoying the gym who da thunk it??

Sep 20, 2011

well yes i seem to enjoy the gym and wished i lived closer as i would go daily.  I have a new BEST friend its the slim pretty friend we all love to hate cause they are perfect in every way but we love them  her name is Elliptical i will just call her Ellie LOL  the first day i did just 10 min and my legs were like jello and i thought i was going to die  now i can do 24 minutes and 1 mile and can still finish the rest of my work out right after.  I seem to be sleeping allot better with the workouts and the new splints for my carpal tunnel.  I am noticing my clothing is looser and i am down some lbs.  was 372 when i started the gym now down to 364 lbs,  hoping that my next doctors visit in October/November for my flu shot i will be able to hop on her scale as it only goes to 350 lbs.

I have truly been blessed so far with all this and i am overwhelmed with all the support from people from all over the world and the kindness that has been shown to me.  I cant thank everyone enough and i am very proud to be where i am today and know i will be in a better place health wise daily with my journey.

I have made some very wonderful friends along the way and wow its only just starting.....  I am shrinking and growing all at the same time in many different ways... xoxox
