I am a 34 year old single mother of a beautiful 9 year old daughter. I live outside of Ansonia, Ohio in Darke County. I am a registered nurse and love my career.
I have always struggled with my weight but I would have to say that my battle started from emotional eating as a child when my parents divorced. I do have heredity as a factor as well. I am choosing to have WLS so that I can be more active and enjoy things in life. I would love to be able to take my daughter to an amusement park and ride the rides with her, or go to a waterpark and be able to have fun without people staring and making comments about my appearance. However the main reason I am choosing to have this procedure is I will be healthy and be here to watch my little girl grow up and have a family of her own. It is a real reality that if i do not do something I will not be here to see her graduate high school.
