I am a 50» year-old women. Weight issues have been life long. I have gained and lost a entire human I'm sure. I am hoping to have wls before the end of the year. Saw my surgeon yesterday and after answering ALL my questions he feels that due to my complicated medical history it will be in my best interest to have the gastric sleeve. I was hoping for the bypass but I trust his judgement. I have to have some initial work ups repeated because it's been over a year and he wants a pulmonary eval due to resp issues. I'm ready to move forward. It's difficult to be patient at times but I have to keeping believing in that old saying that good things come to those who wait. I hope this is my year. Thanks to all those who share their weight loss journeys. It helps to know that I'm not alone in my struggle to overcome obesity.
