"What a wonderful surgeon and caring man. His office staff is wonderful and they really know what they are doing. He carries the Center of Excellence rating. He is the head of bariatric surgery at Victory hospital (where he did my surgery) and they are out of this world. I highly recommend him and the hospital.
Dr. Yu requires a full program of testing, nutritional training, psych eval, and follow up after the surgery. 2 week pre-op liquid diet and a reasonable progression in the post-op diet.
One little story that convinced me that he cared about me as a person. Without prompting, at the pre-op meeting, he gave me the prescription for the liquid hydrocodone for pain and zofran for post-op nausea so I could fill the prescriptions and have them at home waiting for me after the surgery. No waiting at the pharmacy in pain on the ride home. I thought that was very thoughtful. "
