Referal Made
Jun 23, 2011
I met with Dr. E today and she is totally supportive with my decision to have laproscopic roux en y surgery. As I had seen Dr. Dent a few years ago, when he was not willing to do a lap band on me because of the low chance of sucess with them, she sent my referral directly to the surgeon, Dr. Mamazza. I asked her if there were any tests I could do ahead of time to cut down on the tremendously long wait for surgery. She is sending me for the EKG and a lot of the preliminary blood work that needs to be done, and she will send it over to the surgeon when she receives the results.I have tried for so many years to lose weight on my own, and have made no significant progress. I even paid an arm and a leg for a personal trainer for almost a year, and I lost 30 pounds, just to turn around and gain it all back in the following year. FRUSTRATING!!!
I am so tired of feeling this way. I am so lathargic, and feel bloated most of the time. My back hurst a lot and my knees suffer under all this weight. I sleep with the darn CPAP machine all the time because of my sleep apnea. I can't stand to look in the mirror and feel like a complete FAILURE as a person.
I am sooooo looking forward to this surgical tool to assist me in my journey. I actually feel that there is hope that I will feel normal again. Of course, it has been so long since I have been a normal weight, that I don't know how that actually feels, I just have to imagine.
