106 LBS DOWN 34 TO GO

Sep 10, 2012

Hello my OH friends,

I can't believe this journey I have been on. In 19 days it will be my sugeraversary. I started out a size 24/26 and now I am a 12/14. Starting at a lil over 300lbs and ending at 189 is amazing.  I just have to factor in that my body frame is large and i don't know what I will look like at my goal weight since I don't look like I weigh 189, but we shall see. I have lowered my blood pressure, my cholesterol, I have raised my triglycerides, my LDL is great under 100.  I feel great. I can't believe I am a active gym member (LOL).  It feels horrible if I miss a day at the gym.  I love this new lifestyle of living.  If I had to do it all over again, I would, in a HEART BEAT.

This journey is so surreal

May 29, 2012

This journey is so surreal! I know it is real, but me oh my, I can’t believe it’s me. It’s kind of hard sometimes because I know that I am loosing and I am so much smaller, but I still feel like the fat girl inside. I guess it’s going to take some time for my brain to catch up with my body. At any rate, I am loving myself! I haven’t been in a size 12 in 20 years. Funny thing is I weigh more now and I am in a 12 then I did 20 years ago. Go figure! I love my sleeve!

5 weeks post op

Nov 02, 2011

Well OH friends it has been 5 weeks since I have had my surgery and  must say I am doing very well.  My nutritionist give you a list of things you can eat at the stage I am, and I noticed whole grain wheat bread and wheat crackers were on there.  Am I the only one out here who's afraid of breads?  I know we need some carbs in our lives but  man carbs is what got me here in the r first place.

I am down from a size 24 to a size 18 and the best thing is "I'M NOT DONE YET"!  I still have 120lbs to go.  I am like the little engine that could. "I think I can, I think I can.....I know I can! I feel great.  A co-worker told me I walk with such confidence. (WOW!) this makes me feel great.  I guess loosing weight can change your walk, your talk, and your personality.

Until next time

One month since surgery on 10/27

Oct 25, 2011

Well on October 27th it will be one month exactly since my surgery, plus it's my bday that day. I have had some good experiences and some not so good, but not in a very bad way.  I still have a bit of trouble with the feeling of my food going down. I have learned to take smaller bites. I have also learned that the more protein I take in and water I take in the weight comes off quick.  In week 3 I experienced a stall for 14 days and today my sale moved 5lbs down. I have learned you do go thru stalls, but I'm OK with that because this is a life long journey.  I can't wait to get to my goal.  So my stats are Starting weight 303, day of surgery 280 today I am 255 one month later.  I feel great. I never really had low self esteem, but I tell you, I feel more confident. I look forward to reaching my goal and I appreciate all of the advice and friendships I have developed from OH.

Things are going so much better

Oct 12, 2011

So it's been 13 days since surgery and I feel that I am doing great! I went to the doctor yesterday and I cant believe I am down 23 freaking pounds! OMG I didn't think the weight would come off like that. I am drinking water water water and slowly incorporating the foods my doctor says I can plus slowly doing protein.  I am so board at home. I go to the gym in the AM and go home a chill but it's so boaring.  I have to find something for me to do during the day. Saturday will be my daughters 4Th bday party so my husband and I planned a bday dinner for her (Mexican food) my favorite, and I cant eat anything. I know I can get through it, Ive come this far with cooking dinner every night so that's will power.  My energy is back and I was officially taken of my BP medication woo hoo!
