My weight loss journey and story… I am a 36 yr old mother of two wonderful kids. I have an 11 yr old girl, Kylie and an 8 yr old son, Chase who are the most amazing kids ever. I’m also engaged to a wonderful man named Toby, who had WLS in 2001 and has been very successful. We were both giving up on love and met by chance through a mutual friend and have been happy ever since. Like many on here I haven’t been overweight my whole life, in fact I was thin until I got pregnant with my first child. Before I got pregnant I weighed around 130, which at the time had been my highest weight. However I gained close to 60 pounds while I was pregnant. I was able to lose a little, but when I got pregnant with my second child I couldn’t seem to drop the weight and since then it has just added on. I’ve been very unhappy with my body and weight, so my fiancé encouraged me to see his doctor and go to the weight loss seminar. I haven’t turned back since. I found this site by chance actually in my search for information on my doctor and the hospital. I love reading about everyone’s journey through weight loss and hope to join you all on the losing side soon.
