I am 44 years old and have been overweight most of my life except for a short time between 6-12 grade. Not sure what happened during that time. But skinny didn't last! I've been on numerous diets and every time I've lost weight it would continue to come back! I've finally decided to have RNY. I have had several friends and family members have this surgery and all have been very successful! I am going to be one of them. It's scary overwhelming and exciting  all wrapped up in one! I have been to two dietician consults and a psychologist my insurance requires one more dietician visit and then everything will be submitted for insurance approval! I've started the journey 2 months ago and I have just started to tell family and friends. All are extremely supportive and excited for me! I thought they would try and talk me out of it but all have understood. It has helped to tell people because now I feel I have the support I need for success. I'm am getting less nervous and more excited for a new life!
