I want to thank everyone for their well-wishes I am now a little less than two days away from changing my life forever! I am so excited and scared to death! But, I know that I have the love and support of my family and God on my side. How can I go wrong? I will let everyone know how everything turned out after the surgery!

Hi everyone! Thank you for your kinds words of encouragement. They mean alot to me! Thanks you also for your advice on the protein drinks/shakes. I am glad I did not stock up on slim Fast! Keep your advice coming, I can sure use it! Talk to you all soon!

Annette, Congrats to your on your surgery date! I stopped smoking two weeks before surgery and YES I do feel that it helped. I had to have breathing treatments after surgery but they were easy to handle and my oxygen came up fairly quick after my surgery. As for slim fast...NO, too much sugar and not enough protein. Some people do CIB but I think it does not have enough protein to justify the use. There are many protein drinks on the market that are far better protein wise, sugar wise and taste. One place to look is vitalady.com. You can order samples and not be stuck with a large container until you have an idea of what you really like taste wise. Good Luck on your day.. Don't drink Slim Fast..Way to much sugar. Try a protien drink low in carbs
