Angecakes
I've struggled with weight issues since my teens. I was very muscular in high school and people judged me to be fat because I was so bulky. It caused a lot of stress and depression for me, constantly worrying about my weight. I started using Depo Provera birth control after I had my son when I was 19 and it seems that Pandora's Box was opened in my endocrine system. I have since been diagnosed with several conditions, including PCOS, High Cholesterol, and Hypothyroidism. For the past few years, I have felt like Sysiphus pushing the boulder up the hill just to have it roll back over me whenever I near the top. Thankfully, my husband has been loving and supportive through this whole stressful process.
A lot of my hobbies and interests have been affected by my health and weight issues. I love the outdoors and want to do more backpacking. I was able to go backpacking in the Selkirk Mountains in 2009 and loved it, but am too overweight and sick to do that now. I also enjoy reading, music, painting, drawing, coloring, watching old movies and shows from the 30's-50's, growing plants and flowers, swimming, hunting down waterfalls, board games, video games, cooking, baking, and spending time with my 3 boxers and boston terrier. I haven't had the energy to do a lot of these things but I'm hoping to resume some, if not all, of these activities sometime down the road.
