Hi there, I'm new to this so please bear with me. I am 48 years old and have been struggling with my weight all of my life, only to gain it all back plus more. 4 years ago I shattered my leg and things have been down hill ever since. I am now to the point that I can hardly walk because of the pain in my knees. They both need replacing due to the accident. The problem is that I need to lose 100+ pounds before they will do them. I have my very first appointment on April the 15th. I am so nervous about getting approved. I have other health issues also because of my weight, which is in the high 270's. I am only 5'4". So I sit and wait unpatiently for the appointment to come. I sit here every night reading everyone's stories. It helps me to see that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
